Formal Consensus and Facilitator Training
Sunday, February 22, 2026, 1:00 PM EDT
Category: Events For All Levels
We will look at the structure of Formal Consensus; agenda planning, which is the heart of Formal Consensus; create agendas for two meetings; and have proposals for people to practice facilitating (as well as other Formal Consensus roles). At the end of this workshop, you will have a deeper understanding of facilitation, tips for making facilitation clear and simple, and the confidence to begin facilitating at our AGMs. There are two sections for the workshop, A and B. Each section is in two parts. For Section A, Part I is on Feb 21 and Part II on Feb 28. For Section B, Part I is on February 28 and Part II on March 1st.
The workshop content is the same for each section. (Pick your best time zone to attend). We will meet for 1.5 hours each day, for a total of three hours for the entire workshop. Times: Section A (for members living in the eastern US and Europe): 10:00 PST; 1:00 EST; 18:00 GMT; 19:00 CET Section B (for members living in the Western US and Asia: 18:00 EST; 15:00 PST; 8:00 JST; 10:00 AEDT*) *We realize that if you live in Japan, Korea or Australia, the 21st is the morning of the 22nd and the 28th will be on Monday for you. To register contact Catherine Kettrick [email protected] with your name, email, and which section you are registering for. (You may register for either or both sections, if you like; and if you can’t make it to all of the workshop, that’s fine. You will learn a lot anyway). Catherine and Diana are both founding members of ATI; were at the beginning of ATI’s exploration of Formal Consensus; have studied numerous times with C.T. Butler (the originator of Formal Consensus); and have taught workshops for ATI members and various community groups.
